Well ... hasn't it been a long time between drinks?
But maybe, just maybe, I might be tempted into a return to this space.
I have a new job now, still dealing with the media but now I have to handle them and in this particular government department, that's an uphill challenge.
But the challenge is, I guess, what makes it interesting.
The other day I had to go to the bank to cash a rather large cheque on behalf of this organisation.
I was assigned a security guard to escort me on this outing.
"Operation Big Bear" it was called.
They couldn't have drawn more attention to me if they tried.
Instead of a woman going about her business, I felt like we were wearing a big sign that said "rob me, I have a lot of money".
The funny thing is that this woman kept "surveilling" the area, identifying potential risks and muttering about her gun licence.
It really was quite disturbing.
That's all I have to say for now ...
